Newsrooms broadcasting on YJA Radio

You may have seen the YJA Radio icon to the right of your screen for a couple of weeks now but from 7am this morning YJA Radio went live with school newsrooms broadcasting exclusive content!

Over the coming days, weeks and months more radio programmes will be produced by the YJA newsrooms featuring new and classic music and filled with what’s happening in the world of film, music, technology, sport and environment from around their school, community, country and the world.

Be sure to tune in this week and many more weeks to come to YJA Radio!

    Burgh School Young Journalists from Year 5 and Year 6 classes have been working hard to put together their first radio broadcast which are to be broadcast over this week. Well done News Team!

        I cant seem to come on at a time when Boston high school are on,:( but all the other schools are great!

          it’s normally at 7 in the morning or half past 4 or 4 in the afternoon

            ok thanks Zakia, I heard it yesterday and it was epic, I cant wait to listen to it again and make another one, on all sorts of topics!

    I agree with Sarah that it’s been really exciting listening to all the radio shows from our YJA Newsrooms across the county today.

    All the shows were very different, had great features and presented by some wonderful young journalists.

    There’s more new shows to come this week and repeats of the ones you’ve already heard.

    The bar has been raised very high with the first YJA Radio programmes and I’m looking forward to future shows.

    First Nottinghamshire school has made its debut – Welcome Kirkilington Primary! Currently going out daily at noon, their impressive programme is all about the life and times of their school – including the discovery of a time capsule!

    Listen out next week for Carre’s Grammar’s ‘Dr Who Special’. Next Saturday, at Lincoln’s Drill Hall,YJA Radio presenters Nick and Harry have been promised special access to Dr Who script writers!
