An internationally-renowned exhibition of the Modern Masters has opened in Lincoln.

Arts Award students from Heighington Millfield Academy experienced print works from four of the most famous and influential artists today in The Usher Gallery, Lincoln.

Works by Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and Andy Warhol are presented in a free exhibition until the end of March.

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London last year hosted the same exhibition and was also part of a television series on BBC One.

Maggie Warren, Arts Education Officer at The Usher Gallery, said: “We’re very lucky to have these works [loaned to us] by the V&A!”.

Included in the exhibition are Warhol’s iconic pop art image of Marilyn Monroe, Matisse’s Reclining Nude with a Fruit Bowl, Dalí’s The Persistence of Memory and prints for the Paris Metro, and Picasso’s The Frugal Repast and The Old Guitarist.
