Sounds Cool!

This week has been a week full of music and podcasting for me, and it’s been so much fun! With radio and sound being my area of interest and expertise as part of the Young Journalist Academy, Monks Abbey’s podcasting project on their topic ‘Sounds Cool’ was right up my street.

Year’s 3 and 4 have been learning all about how sound and different musical instruments work for ‘Sounds Cool’, and they expertly told me all about these for their podcast recordings. Below is a recording about Boomwhackers; an instrument I had never heard of before working with the Year 3s this week. If you’re not sure what one is either you can take a listen to find out.

The rest of the podcasts will be added to the YJA website in the next week so keep an ear out for them.

Sarah, YJA Radio Producer and Co-Editor
