Van Gaal or Moyes?

Following Moyes’ departure at United, Louis Van Gaal was assigned for the job. But is he any better?

After David Moyes left Manchester United after just under a season in charge at the Theatre of Dreams, Louis Van Gaal got the job. However looking at the stats, it seems Moyes had more wins and points than Van Gaal has at this stage of the season. Yet, Van Gaal’s position as manager is safer than Moyes’ was!

Here are some stats to prove how bad Van Gaal’s start has been showing a Van Gaal to Moyes ratio:

Despite Van Gaal’s shaky start, he did win the International Cup beating the likes of Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Roma.

Van Gaal has also brought in loads of players like Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rojo and Radamal Falcoa- on loan from Monaco. On the other hand, David Moyes bought next to no players in last year’s transfer window.

One fan commented: “At least we can see what is possible; there are no negative vibes rolling round like last season. If we do get a couple of defenders and a midfielder then we are in business.”

We will have to see if Louis Van Gaal can get up to speed with the Premier League, or whether things go the same way as David Moyes…
