Army Cadets from the Lincoln area have established closer links with The Royal British Legion (RBL), at a ceremony held at Beckingham Camp.

To mark the affiliation, each of the nine detachments was presented with a special certificate from Brian Marsden, RBL’s Youth Officer for Lincolnshire.

Cadets will be invited to attend RBL events or carry Standards on Legion parades, while RBL members may attend drill nights and pass on their military experiences.

“Lincoln’s cadets will learn what the RBL stands for and how it helps ex-service personnel, especially younger service men and women who have returned from conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq,” commented Brian.
