The Big Cheese
Last year’s was good, but this year’s will be feta! The Big Cheese tradition is set to hit the stage again at RP.
The Sir Robert Pattinson Academy’s Big Cheese Christmas concert came together slowly this year, inducing fear that the annual tradition would not happen. With the Senior Student Leadership Team (SSLT) in a frenzy of panic, they worked as quickly as possible to put the show together ready for next Thursday, a fantastic way to end the school term before everyone kicks back for Christmas.
We caught up with Jo, Head Girl and party organiser, to chat about the upcoming performance. She told the YJA newsroom, “It has been really good fun organising the event this year. The Big Cheese had become a bit of legendary tradition at RP and some of the people performing have been waiting since Yr 7 or 8 to get on stage”
A highlight of last years performance was definitely four quite burley 6th formers dressed in nothing but leotards dancing their hearts out to Beyonce’s pop classic ‘Single Ladies’. Rumour has it this year there will be a special performance featuring one of the biggest songs released this year – we can’t give anything away but we can say that it’ll be explosive.
We caught up with two students and Miss Fields on the run up to The Big Cheese, hear what they had to say.
