Charlie Austin to Southampton
Southampton have signed 26-year-old Championship striker Charlie Austin from Queens Park Rangers for 4 million pounds. Austin has been wildly expected to leave Loftus Road last summer but remained after QPR stood firm on their £15 million price tag.
“I’m delighted to have got it over line so soon into January,” he told the club’s official website, Saintfc.co.uk, “I can not wait to get started now.”
Manchester United to pay £65 million for Lukaku
Everton striker Romelu Lukaku may be ready for move in the next couple of days if Manchester United can cobble together an audacious bid of 65 million pounds!
Originally Everton paid 28 million for the Belgian beast, so if they were to sell him for £65 million they would be making huge profit on the player!
Although it is looking more likely for him to go to Man United, other clubs have shown interest in the 22-year-old, such as, Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain, Manchester City and his former club Chelsea.
Wouldn’t it be controversial if Manchester City nicked him off Man United!
Liverpool and Chelsea target Alex Teixeira
BPL sides Chelsea and Liverpool have made moves to sign Shakhtar Donetsk’s forward Alex Teixeira. They are willing to pay £24.5m for the 26-year-old Brazilian striker. London side Chelsea have also made a bid for him, £39m. This will be Klopp’s first major signing for his new club.
Altogether, Teixeira has played for two clubs, Vasco De Gama and Shakhtar Donetsk. Will he move to Chelsea or Liverpool to make a third side?
Pedro back to Barcelona?
Chelsea winger Pedro may be moving back to his former club Barcelona in this transfer window as he has struggled a lot in the Premier League this year.
He has only scored 3 goals in 24 appearances for Chelsea and that is not a very good goal to game ratio!
Pedro was bought by Chelsea in the summer for 21 million pounds, which has proven not to be a very good purchase!
Personally, on his day I think that Pedro is one of the best players in the Premier League! Why he has played so badly I just don’t know!
Guus Hidink is not too keen on letting him go, however I think he should just look at his statistics!
