lottoA lottery ticket worth £33 million remains unclaimed. The winning numbers are: 26, 27, 46, 47 and 52.

A Worcester woman claimed to have the winning ticket in her jeans but put them in the washing machine. She said, “Since I found it in my jeans pocket, my daughter and I have been drying it out with a hairdryer. You can see the 2016 but not the date.”

She bought the ticket from ‘Ambleside News’ in anticipation of the draw that took place on Saturday 9th January. “This is one of only two shops I buy my tickets, and I remember coming in here the day before the draw, because I had to buy something else,”  the anxious woman said.

TicketMany people have claimed to own the winning ticket but have no proof, therefore cannot be awarded the prize.

Lottery bosses have warned they will take action against people who try to claim the money fraudulently.

The £66m is the biggest ever Lotto jackpot and two tickets matched all six numbers to share the life-changing prize. A couple from Hawick in the Scottish Borders are already enjoying their half.

The other winner has until July 7 to claim their share.

Well researched and written Charlie. Unfortunately I’m not the missing winner…although I wish I was!
