Louie reports on Gaming Technology
This report will be focusing on gaming consoles old and new.
The first ever video-game console was ‘born’ in 1967; invented by video game developer, inventor and engineer, Ralph Baer. Naming the console ‘The Brown Box’, it had two attached controllers. It was also named ‘father of the video games’. It could be hooked up with any ordinary television set. Also, ‘The Brown Box’ had six games: ping-pong, tennis, volleyball, chase game and a light gun game. Several other games followed their ‘father’ after that.
Virtual reality is a 3 Dimensional (3D) moving or not moving image of an environment life-like, real or physical by using electric equipment such as goggles, helmet or gloves with fitted sensors. You can see planets, countries, theme parks etc. Using the correct equipment you can use all five senses: sight hearing, touch, taste and smell. The senses create an adventure of imagination.
