The ‘Great British Bake Off’ is back!

The GBBO is back with a whole new series! This baking competition has had a record-breaking start with 10.4 million viewers tuned in to watch the first episode.

Here are some behind the scene things that you might not know about… there is a lady who for up to sixteen hours a day has to wash the dishes by hand because, apparently, dish washers are too noisy! How cruel! One of the previous winners revealed that if the cameras missed any footage of them (e.g. whisking up the ingredients) or didn’t catch what they said, they had to do it again!

When it comes to the technical bake, Mary and Paul go off into another part of the tent and show how they’re supposed to make it and why they chose the dish for them to bake. These two actually make those bakes over and over again – until they get it just right!

Mel and Sue leaving?

Mel and Sue (the shows funny presenters) might be leaving the GBBO! The reason is because the show has now moved onto Channel 4 and Mel and Sue don’t want to work with them. People say that Mel and Sue are the best thing about GBBO and will refuse to watch it without them! People are asking ‘who might replace them?’ Well, we don’t know yet. The bakers need Mel and Sue, everyone needs Mel and Sue!

Great article, sad to her that Mel and Sue won’t be doing it any more and I heard that Nadia might be doing it.

Great article! I think that is sad that Sue and Mel are leaving The Bake Off. I think Nadia- last years winner- could replace Sue or Mel.
