Will Young has sensationally quit BBC One’s hit dancing show, Strictly Come Dancing after only four weeks. The singer-song writer said he was leaving the show due to “personal reasons”

Will strutting his stuff with some Bollywood moves!

All week online there has been rumours as to why Will has really left the show? Will himself states “personal reasons” but it’s clear to see that there might have been some other reasons why Will quit the show… Online speculators have claimed that the live spat between Will and Len Goodman, the head judge on Strictly, might have got to him more than he has shown. For those of you that missed it, after “judging” Will’s Bollywood Salsa, Len appears to have a little dig at the contestant’s “lack of Salsa” and the possible claim that he hasn’t been practising enough with partner Karen Cliffton by saying, “Turn up, keep up and shut up”.

Sharp exit from the BBC1 show for the singer/songwriter

This lack of practise seems to be true, as it has been reported in the Daily Mail that Will requested that his Strictly dance partner come to Cornwall for practise instead of him going to London. Karen Cliffton took the six-hour trip only for the diva-singer not to turn up. A source told the Daily Mirror, “Will wanted to rehearse closer to home, which was impractical for Karen, but she was happy to accommodate.”

Will has recently been on Chris Evans’s Breakfast Show to give his side of the story and told Evans, “Look, here’s the thing. I am absolutely dandy thanks, it’s all very undramatic really.”

To watch the “undramatic” live spat between Will and Len, go to and of course, to keep up with all the latest Strictly news tune in to the show on BBC One at six thirty-five pm on Saturday nights.
