Lord Sugar’s New Business Partner
Many people across Britain love The Apprentice and watch it year after year – and this year, the search for Lord Sugar’s business partner is over. The results are in!
The Apprentice 2016 was quite a show and there was quite a brutal battle at the series’ end for the title of Lord Alan Sugar’s business partner – and the winner ended up being Alana Spencer!
The final, which aired last night, was a tough battle between two very capable candidates, Courtney Wood and Alana Spencer. The task on the last and most competitive week yet was that the finalists had to create their own business in just a few days. This meant they had to create the branding, marketing, packaging, TV advert and a lot more.
Alana, who owns the cake making business ‘Narna’s’, decided she was going to create a similar company and she decided it would be called ‘Ridiculously Rich’. With help from her team (Frances Bishop, Grainne McCoy, Oliver Nohl-Oser and Rebecca Jeffery), Alana made a great business considering she only had a few days to do it!
Courtney on the other hand, had decided he would make an online novelty toy business where you order his products online and they get delivered quickly! With help from Karthik Nagesan, Courtney decided on the name Purple Whale, based on his favourite colour and animal. Despite having a good team of Jessica Cunningham, Karthik Nagesan, Paul Sullivan and Sofiane Khelfa, it just wasn’t enough to beat Alana.
Lord Sugar then grilled both candidates in the boardroom and admitted that he had “a very difficult task” as both were “very credible candidates”.
