Harry Potter Fan Theories Part 4: Crookshanks is Lily Potter

In the wizarding world, Crookshanks the cat is one of the ways that Sirius Black managed to get into Hogwarts and is the reason why Ron and Hermione fall out in the third movie, but what many people don’t know is that he could’ve been a reincarnation of Lily Potter.

In the third Harry Potter movie (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) Hermione’s cat Crookshanks constantly chases Scabbers and, as revealed at the end of the movie, is helping Sirius Black. But as many people know, Scabbers turned out to be Peter Pettigrew. But if Crookshanks was Lily she would’ve despised Peter and would’ve done anything to harm him or reveal his true Identity! The fact that Crookshanks helped Sirius Black to get Scabbers from Ron reinforces this theory.

Crookshanks might not have been the reincarnation of Lily but he might have been Lily’s cat who ran away as Lord Voldemort invaded the Potters. Whichever way Crookshanks fell into the hands of Hermione, all fans of the wizarding world will know that without Crookshanks in the prisoner of Azkaban wouldn’t have been able to reveal Peter Pettigrew’s true identity.
