Smartphones can keep us healthy

In our cosy world full of labour-saving gadgets more and more people worry about their general fitness. But they shouldn’t worry too much because there are loads of ways to stay healthy.

Nowadays, smartphones hold lots of really useful health-related information about our food and drink, such as the number of calories or the sugar or salt content. Of course, wrappers and tins provide all this information too, so there’s no excuse to not stay healthy.

Technology is improving in leaps and bounds, with new apps to help you shop being released all the time. In the shopping aisles, it’s a common sight to see shoppers scanning the barcode with their devices, to see how healthy things are.

Modern smartphones will also have free apps to record the number of steps you take in a day.

It follows therefore that’s it‘s a good idea to take your phone when shopping.

With powerful new apps turning our phones into mobile medical clinics, could this be the answer to the issue of rising healthcare costs?
