Will Black Widow go Solo?
The idea of a Scarlett Johansson-led Black Widow movie has been floating around pretty much since the character was introduced in Iron Man 2. Both Johansson and Marvel Studios manager Kevin Feige want a movie. And now, apparently, the two have met at least once to say directly to each other that they want one.
Fans have often questioned why Johansson’s Black Widow has never got her own film, even though she has been proven increasingly popular across Iron Man, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War.
In a recent interview, Scarlett gave a small update on whether a Black Widow film will ever happen, saying, “I think if the fans wanted it enough, then it would probably become a reality.”
She went on to say discussions are still happening with the superhero and they said that it will happen sooner or later. She also addressed: “If I did it, I’d have to do it while I wear my skin-tight cat-suit. But I don’t know how much longer that’ll be.”
Johansson might be hinting she may retire from the Black Widow role at some time in the future. Whatever the case, there are still two more Avengers films on the way and she will no doubt play her role once again as Black Widow.
