Most people these days have iPhones: iPhone 4, 5S, 5C, 6, 6S and 7, but now there is a new addition to the phone family. The iPhone 8 will soon be with us.

The first iPhone was released June 2007 and Apple has carried on making more and more and now they have created a new edition.

Some people think ‘what is the point of so many different iPhones’ and ‘why do they make them all different sizes so you spend more money on the case?’. Well, now there is another one coming.

The Apple Company were thinking of calling this latest phone iPhone 7S, iPhone Pro, iPhone Anniversary Edition, iPhone Edition, iPhone X or just even iPhone. The price of this new iPhone 8 will be around £600 and it has 256GB with a 3D camera! We must wait and see whether the new iPhone will have the thumbprint technique.

Other features are rumoured to include a glass and stainless steel redesign with a bezel-less OLED display plus improved waterproofing and wireless charging.

If you are wondering what colours the iPhone 8 will come in, expect the usual for an iPhone: black, jet black, silver, gold and rose gold. There was a red version of the iPhone 7 in March to mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and it is not known whether the colour red will be a permanent feature in Apple’s iPhone line-up.
