Would any other team in England sell Joe Hart? IMO #15
I’m Will from Heighington Millfield Primary Academy, I am a keen journalist and sports fan, that is why I’m re-launching my sport-based series of articles called IMO (standing for ‘in my opinion’).
I will add to this series once a month, so you can always look forward to some new sports articles arriving at the YJA website!
England number one Joe Hart has currently been under speculation about his future at Manchester City. A lot of transfer talks have regarded the Englishman but not many clubs have been interested. If anyone else had Hart, they would be inane to sell him as he is absolutely world-class. In my opinion, it is madness that nobody has snapped him up yet.
Hart, currently 30-years-old, is definitely not in the prime of his career, but he is not far off. If he didn’t have much experience as a goalkeeper in the Premier League, personally I wouldn’t want him but he has plenty so that is another spell that he has in his book.
Hart’s replacement, Claudio Bravo, did little to impress anybody during his first season in the Premier League, suggesting that this league may just not be for him. Despite this, Pep Guardiola killed off any hope for Hart when he decided to buy Benfica shot-stopper Ederson with £34.9 million being the price tag.
Smaller clubs in the Championship are showing interest, but if Hart goes to a smaller club he would be crazy as he deserves better than Manchester City anyway. In my opinion the right move will come, it just may take a bit more time.
Talking about his future ahead of England’s World Cup qualifier against Scotland, Hart told Sky Sports: “Not every manager is going to love me. If you ask a lot of managers around the world they are going to say positive things about me. One of the managers that maybe wouldn’t say positive things about me happened to take over Manchester City.”
As Manchester City get more and more desperate to sell the England number one, they keep on lowering the price – why hasn’t anyone bought him yet?
Hart’s valuation currently sits at £25 million – a cracking offer for a world class ‘keeper! Why no-one isn’t buying him is still a mystery to most but all Joe and anyone knows as of yet is that nobody wants him.
