Salah is edging closer to Anfield
25-year-old Mohamed Salah is slowly edging closer to a move to Anfield. After playing in the Calcio A, he sees his future being in the Premier League playing for one of the top English teams, Liverpool.
With his recent clubs being Chelsea, Fiorentina and Roma, he is moving back to the Premier League to pick up where he left off, but this time with the Reds.
After Salah’s six Premier League starts, a few years ago, he made his move to the Calcio A for £11 million. Following spells with two different clubs in the Italian league, he is returning to England, where he first made his name.
The Reds are looking to give the Egyptian a four-year contract, as he will be featuring in the starting 11. Although Mane, the speedy right-winger, is now a star, Salah will be looking to take his spot in the starting 11 for the season. He was very important last season, leading Roma to a second place in the Italian league – just behind the great Juventus.
As he will be playing against star defenders such as Manchester City’s Otamendi, he will need to grow in confidence; unlike the Calcio A, the Premier League is extremely competitive.
Playing alongside the likes of Roberto Firmino, Coutinho and Adam Lallana, manager Jurgen Klopp will be expecting Salah to make a full contribution to Liverpool’s Premier League challenge.
