Over the last few months, students from Manor Leas Junior Academy have been busy making their new school film.

Members of The Young Journalist Academy team from Year 5 were set a real life brief by their Headmaster, Mr Greenwood. In a top secret meeting, the Head of the Lincoln Primary School let the team know that the school was having a new website designed and he wanted a film that showed off all the school has to offer.

The team started planning, storyboarding and researching all the cool things their school has to offer as well as arranging for their favourite teachers to appear and speak briefly in the film. The YJA students have been learning film-making techniques all year and this was their time to shine. Some of the film crew were responsible for scripting questions, some responsible for set design and others were tasked with being location scouts (their job being to find places that showed the school and all it has to offer). There were many jobs the film crew had to take on, including camera people, audio technicians and the all important editors.
