NOW YOU SEE ME 3
Yes, you read correctly, NOW YOU SEE ME 3! With Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and many others, the Horsemen will, at long last, be returning for a thrilling third fantasy adventure where skilled magicians become highly sophisticated criminals.
The crew for the movie will be Bobby Cohen, Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman. To date, the movie franchise has grossed an impressive $686 million.
Directing this multi-million dollar film will be Jon M. Chu (full name Jonathan Murray Chu). He has directed films such as Step Up 2: The Streets and Step Up 3D.
Back to the movie, it will obviously be a big hit because all those who enjoyed the first two will be holding their breath for another blockbuster installment. But they’ll need to be patient as it will be 2019 before it hits our cinema screens.
This film was actually under development even before the second came out. (This was evident when the directors and producers quoted: Now You See Me 2 is going to roll in a lot of dough so we’ll make a third because this is going to be a hit.”)
If you’re new to the plot, four illusionists with different skills are enticed into working for a hidden trickster. They devise elaborate crimes while being pursued by an angry cop, and if they can pull off their plans they’ll get a reward beyond their imagining.
As a reminder, the first movie came out in 2013 and was rated 12 and the second was released in July 2016 with a 12A rating, so expect something similar for the next blockbuster.
Yes, fans all over the world will have to endure a long wait but it promises to be worth it. I for one will be first in the cinema queue once it’s released here in the UK.
