From Drawing to Dress
One of the most well-known luxury brands has a simple way of producing popular fashion items that are sold in many stores across the globe.
‘Ted Baker’ has a vast product range which includes clothing for men and women, plus bags and shoes. There are also some beautiful floral beddings too and many more fabulous items. This British chain was first known for men’s shirts but has now a wide range of designer apparel for men & women. Click here to explore their website.
Ted Baker has a number of stand-alone stores in the UK but other retailers also sell their range, in particular at John Lewis and House of Fraser. Stores can be found across the globe – in 2012 it opened a store on Fifth Avenue in New York City.
Their design process starts at the Tedquarters design studio with a detailed sketch. Here every design for the new Ted Baker range is hand-drawn and then physically made.
Their designers receive inspiration by travelling around the world to find ideas for the perfect print. For this spring, they descended on the palace grounds of Versailles in France; the result being the combining of opulent details with contemporary florals for their Chatsworth print.
Now the silhouette comes and shapes up the style, just like the TINELLA Hampton Court dress with its sharp-ended collar, stiff cotton cuffs and a structured skirt to finish the up-to-date, classic and stunning style. The silhouette adds a little more to the style, so it isn’t just a boring normal outfit. This is what many believe makes Ted Baker special.
Such creations seem likely to add to the continued success of this global lifestyle brand, both here in the UK and abroad.
