About – ADDITIONAL

The Young Journalist Academy is a programme established in 2008 designed to encourage young people to engage with news and current affairs by creating their own School Newsroom, media literacy projects and working across school departments.

This is a fantastic opportunity that offers pupils, schools and community groups the chance to gain national recognition for the ability to create quality broadcast material in partnership with CfBT Education Trust and c1 media.

We are proud to have many supporters including the The Royal Albert Hall, The Guardian, WaterAid, Teenage Cancer Trust, Historic Royal Palaces amongst others.

This opportunity enables schools to work with industry trained broadcast journalists and other professionals to train students and staff in all aspects of broadcast journalism. These include writing, producing, filming and recording.
