Yahel a British teen was reported missing after going to Kibbutz Be’eri with her British born mother Lianne when Hamas, a militant group in Palestine, attacked along with her British born mother Lianne.
Yahel, 13, is now confirmed dead. Whilst her father Eli Sharabi has still not been found.
Yahel’s family confirmed that she died during in the attack. Later Noiya, her older 16-year-old sister, was found dead as well. Later after the fatal death of Yahel it led to Foreign Office Minister, Andrew Mitchell, stating that the British Government was, “extremely concerned”, about Hamas’s British hostages. BBC stated whilst interviewing, that the family described and explained that she was, “full of adventure and mischief, we will forever miss her, but are grateful for the light she brought into our lives in the too short time she was with us”.
Whilst the conflict was happening, their mother Lianne sent a voice message to her sister-in-law and on that voice message she could hear ‘screams and shouting’ and claims she heard shouting of, “die Israel“, followed by further screams. After Lianne begged her sister-in-law to call for help it was sadly too late. It was initially hoped that Noiya was still alive but sadly the teenager’s body was found after the raid and conflict.
