On the 9 th May, Cardiff University had to be evacuated due to a chemical spill.
At 11:13am, ambulances and other emergency services were called to Cardiff’s Park
Place because of the spill. The main building of the university has been evacuated and the University
stated that ‘a small number of people’ are being looked at by paramedics. There were no casualties
or injuries as the spill was contained. The spill came from the natural sciences part of the building. At
the time of writing this, most of the students have left the scene but no emergency services have
left. The cause of the spill is currently unknown.
