Many parents expect their children to get good grades and to be well behaved but what impact does it apply to young minds? This is the fateful story of Suleman Dawood.
Suleman Dawood was a 19-year-old boy who was among five other people lost his life on the Titan submarine that was diving to the bottom of the ocean, 12,100 feet deep, all because of his father’s passion for the Titanic. The innocent boy was pressured into boarding the small claustrophobic submarine when he didn’t want to according to friends.
The titan submarine left land to explore the underwater wreck of the Titanic on the 16th of June in 2023 without knowing it would never return. The owners of the submarine, (Ocean Gate) made their 5th journey to the bottom of the ocean. But unfortunately, due to the immense pressure on the vessel it imploded in the North Atlantic Sea, 1,600 meters away from the Titanic killing Suleman, his father and three others who paid £250,000 to travel inside the vessel.
The sub was controlled by a cheaply made gaming controller, like a PlayStation controller, and there was only one button to power it! The “tube of metal” only contained 2 computer screens which lost connection within 1 hour and 45 minutes into the dive. Suleman’s mother quoted that he was excited to board the submarine, but he supposedly took a Rubik’s cube to solve at the bottom of the ocean. A few weeks later, human remains were pulled out of a large piece of wreckage found underwater, but sadly nobody was found alive. Did you know only 14% of the tours managed to reach the titanic.
Rest in peace all that were on board.

What a tragic event.
It’s such as shame it happened
They shouldn’t of had to go
a very sad end to what should have been a once in a lifetime experience.
Its so bad that kids do this to make people happy especially their parents! 🙁

Wow this is a great article rip
Wow this is a great article
very aware article
An informative article. This was a very tragic accident. That group of people including the young man went on the trip, trusting that the organisers had tested the vessel and that they would be safe. And the young man trusted his father not to take him into a dangerous situation. Trust misplaced. May they all rest in peace.
Tragic.
Cool article.
