‘The summer I turned Pretty’ is a very popular series but is spiralling online. The question everyone is wanting to know is which team are you: Conrad or Jeremiah?
The obsession with this series has gone completely viral with people making edits to filters you can use on social media, so much so people are becoming divided. Letting this question decide whether they are friends or not. Even with AI resources depicting what your personality is by your opinion.
A simple google search reveals ‘”Team Conrad” fans often value emotional depth and maturity, while “Team Jeremiah” supporters tend to prefer someone who is more outwardly expressive’
The BBC have written a report that explaining that ‘the rivalry has got people so fired up that fans have been asked to calm down, as some of the cast have been abused online.’ Variety has also posted on their website ‘As ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ toxic fandom explodes online, Prime Video tells fans to stop bullying cast and start ‘Acting normal.’ The series has gone international as fans continue to express their opinions.
The summer I turned pretty is a global phenomenon that is still growing its fandom since series 1 realised in June of 2022.
