The Christmas Holidays are nearing and everybody (who celebrates it) is very excited, but not ll get to celebrate it at home with family and friends.
Some people who work for public services like police, the army, carers and the NHS workers don’t get to spend it at home. With the recent NHS workers strike the government have told soldiers to work on Christmas Day since there apparently isn’t any other option. The government has also explained that the armed forces are the last resort and they might also be helping the fire services and ambulances for 8 days of strike action scheduled for December. This is because members of the armed forces are prohibited from strike action.
So what do you think about the government who have not solved this problem and do you think it’s right for the armed forces to not be able to strike?
