The sights and sounds of a traditional British seaside holiday have returned to Sutton-on-Sea today as Vintage on Sea welcomes thousands of visitors for a day packed with music, dancing, street theatre and family entertainment. Story Tellers, Lincolnshire’s largest and most ambitious NPO, has dedicated itself to support the community of Sutton on Sea to develop this ambitious and inspirational event.
Running from 10 am until 5 pm, the High Street has been transformed into a celebration of vintage Britain, with performers, classic entertainment and more than 30 craft and community stalls stretching through the town.
Visitors are being treated to live performances across three stages, including swing music, brass bands and Lindy Hop dancing, while colourful street performers such as Bond’s Bunco Box, The Shenanigans, Octopus Ocean and the much-loved Giant Seagulls are entertaining crowds throughout the day.
The festival, now in its third year, celebrates the traditional British seaside holiday while showcasing the creativity of the local community. Alongside the entertainment, families can enjoy fairground rides, vintage vehicles, craft workshops at the Seaview Colonnade and a wide variety of local makers and artists.
The Young Journalist Academy’s, Evan, Tegan, and Erin, are reporting live from the event throughout the day, speaking with visitors, performers and organisers to capture the stories behind one of Sutton-on-Sea’s biggest summer celebrations.
Stay tuned as we bring you interviews, photographs and highlights from Vintage on Sea 2026.
